Twilight Tales
Twilight Tales

Twilight Tales is a family story time held on Wednesday at 7:00 PM. No fee or registration is required for this program. Twilight Tales lasts approximately thirty minutes, it is held down stairs in the multi-purpose room.

    Celebrate! El día de los niños/El día de los libros (Children’s Day/Book Day) is a celebration of children, families, and reading. Join us at the library for stories in Spanish, stories in English, games, and refreshments for the whole family. The celebration emphasizes the importance of advocating literacy for children of all linguistic and cultural backgrounds.

Terrific Tuesdays and Wonderful Wednesday

This a drop-in storytime where Moms or caretaker can participate in reading the stories to the group. All ages are welcome. Story time is every Tuesday and Wednesday at 9:00 a.m. This is a free program and no registration is required.

Spanish Story Time

Spanish Story Time is held every Friday at 10:30 am. This is a FREE program and no registration is required. All ages are welcome. Stories, finger plays, songs are told in Spanish and in English.

Story Time

Story Time is taking a break for the summer.

Story time is for children three to six years old. There will be six weeks of stories, songs, fingerplays, and crafts based on different Nursery Rhymes themes. Children will be learning nursery rhymes along with reading books associated with the theme.

Classes will start March 4, 2008 and ends April 8 and 9. Classes are held on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 10:00 am, 11:00 am, or 1:00 pm. There is a registration fee of $5.00 with a current library card. This class lasts approximately 40 minutes.

Wee Read
Wee Read

Wee Read is taking a break for the summer.

Wee Read is a class for little ones, eighteen months to three years.

Each child must have an adult lap to accompany them.

Registration is a must because of limited space. This is a free program.

Classes are held on Thursdays at: 10:00 am, 11:00 am, and 12:00 pm. Classes begin the week of March 3 and end the week of April 7.

Music and Movement
Music and Movement

Music and Movement is taking a break for the summer.

The Music and Movement class is back.
Music and Movement features rhythm, chanting, singing, and movement. This popular class fills quickly so sign up soon.

This class is designed for children 3 and 1/2 to 6 years old. Three year olds need to be potty trained and be 3 years of age by September 1, 2007 to enroll.

Class size will be limited to 12 students. This class lasts approximately 35 minutes each session, with 6 total sessions.

The class fee is $5.00 with a current library card. Sessions are held on Mondays at 10:00, 11:00, 12:00, and 1:00.

Registration is required and starts Feb. 19. Class will start the week of March 3, ending the week of April 7.

A.S.A.P. (After School Activity Program)
A.S.A.P. (After School Activity Program)

Learn and explore different monthly themes for children who are in elementary school. Join together at 4:30 pm on the third Thursday of the month to explore, expand knowledge and have lots of fun all at the same time!

These classes are FREE, but you must sign up and obtain tickets to allow the library to plan for this event. Tickets will be available two weeks before the event at the circulation desk.

Please come to the library to sign-up. There will be no online registration.

Catch the Reading Bug @ Your Library

Want to get away this summer? Where would you like to go? What if you could go anywhere you would like to go and stay there for as long you would like? How is this possible you say?

Your library makes this possible! Come and journey with the library this summer and escape. At your Library there is a special program designed just for you to help you live on the edge of your seat or to relax by the beach. What you want and where you go is up to you.

Your ticket out of here is found in the Summer Reading Program this year. Enjoying the perfect getaway or adventure that you have only dreamed about is as close as a book. This year theme is “Catch the Reading Bug”.

Registration begins May 27, 2008 with classes starting June 17, 18, 19 2008. There is a $5.00 fee for each child. There are 9 sessions for you to choose from. Classes are at 10:00 am, 11:30 am or 1:00 pm on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday. Classes last seven weeks through the summer. There will be 4 classes running at the same time; A class for 3-4 year old (they meet on the carpet side of the multi-purpose room); A class for the 5-6 year olds (they meet in the multi-purpose room on the tile side); A class for the 7-8 year olds which meets upstairs in the loft, and a 9 and older class which meets in the little theater downstairs.
